What do I keep in my backpack?
Being a student for over a decade, I have learned that there are necessities you need to survive your school year. In my perspective, a student with the hopes of aiming high at school should also go to school prepared, because of course, you can’t survive school without having any supplies, and solely relying on your classmates.
I am aware that each of us is different so some of these things that work for me may or may not work for you.

But without further ado, here are the essentials that I have in my backpack to help me survive school:
#1 – Backpack

Of course, before anything else, you should have a backpack that is sturdy enough to carry all of your things. My backpack is from Herschel in the line “Heritage” if I am not mistaken. I got it from my good friend as a present, and I bet you a hundred buck this backpack would last you all year round, or better not, more than a year.
#2 – Notebook

This one is a no-brainer, of course as a student you will need a paper to write on. As for me, I prefer a binder that will hold all of my notes, but it really is up to the person. Whichever suits your liking, as long as you can write your notes on it, your good to go.
#3 – Ball pen/Pencils

Next of course, if you need something to write on, then, of course, you also need something that you can use to write. A ball pen, pencil, whatever it is that you prefer. The ball-pen that I use is from pilot G-tech. I do know that this ball pen is on a pricey side but I just like it because it makes my handwriting look really clean. For me, I also keep my stuff in a pencil case because I do not want to look for my things everywhere, especially when I am about to take a quiz.
#4 – Pencil Case (With Supplies)

In my pencil case, I also include highlighters, marker, correction pens, and rulers. Highlighters for me is A MUST. I can’t live without it. I use them to highlight important words and information in my notes or in my books. I recommend using highlighters from Faber Castle, because it does not bleed on your paper, and it has a wide range of colors that you can choose from. I prefer mine to be pastel colors because I love, love pastel.
#5 – Portfolio/Envelope
I also bring an envelope/portfolio in my bag because I use it to hold loose papers that I have, especially the ones that our teachers require us to keep. It also comes in handy because you have a place to put in other papers that you might need later on.
#6 – Planner/Journal

I don’t know about you guys but for me, I can’t live without a planner/journal. It keeps me updated for the things that I have to do, the quizzes that I have to take, and the projects that are due. I have been using a planner/journal ever since I was in 8th grade and I am telling you guys! It saved my life. As I have mentioned a while ago, each of us is different but personally, I look to use a planner/journal that is daily/weekly view so that I know what I have to do for the day and for the whole week. I also like a planner/journal that has a monthly view before each month so that I have an overview of what’s going to happen for that month.
#7 – Emergency/Girly Bag

And lastly, aside side from the supplies itself, I also bring with me a pouch that I use to hold all of my girl necessities such as comb, hair ties, perfume, sanitary pads and the like. Bringing these kinds of stuff saves my day at school because you'll never know when you need one. So of course, it’s better to be prepared.
So that is everything that I have in my everyday school backpack. But sometimes, there are things that I bring with me that our teachers require us to bring like laptops, folder, etc. but for a normal day, these are the things that I bring to help me survive school. What about you, what’s inside your backpack?
